Is Your Work Making You Sick?

We’ve written before about how to improve indoor air quality, which is important because we spend more time indoors than at any point in history, yet indoor air is often more polluted than what’s outside. Chances are also good that when we are indoors, we aren’t getting as much exercise as we should.

A big reason for that is because we are working more than ever. Many of us are working multiple jobs just to try to break even, though it’s also true some of us are working more to afford stuff we don’t really need. In either case, there is a good chance your job may be negatively impacting your health, as this recent infographic suggests.

DO NOT sit reclined at a an angle as suggested. That ‘stress’ on your back keeps your back muscles from atrophying. I sat like that for a few years and one day my back went out completely. I could hardly move for a week. It took a while but sitting up straight with proper posture eventually got me back into shape. I’ve locked my chair up straight ever since.

I work sitting at a computer at least 10 hours a day and can attest to the truth of the majority of the statements made in this article.
